Sorry
From seeing your sketches, you get a lot of shape-defining lines (and line weights) lost in inking. Personally, I like your drafts a lot more than the finished works. With some exceptions (skeleton pirates in a boat...).
Don't know what's your opinion on it, I can discuss that further if you want.
Look at the lines and crosshatch on the images in that vid... the B&Ws.
I've started doing the research for you and it kicked me in the face... I got into all that art I wanted to send you, and ended up with a pen and paper myself :/ I wanted to refer you to Moebius's stuff and the 'ligne claire' school, a 'clear line' approach to drawing... There is a poor article about that on Wikipedia: [link] . It deals with how to describe a shape with a single line most effectively. There was one artist in particular that I wanted to show you, due to the similarity of themes (he did a lot of core fantasy stuff), his name is Jaroslaw Musial. Some of his stuff can be found here:

I will post you some of his more hardcore fantasy stuff he did for an RPG called 'Crystals of Time' (Krysztaly Czasu), but this still may take me a while, and this promise I made already sits on my conscience.
