I really like the idea of female barbarians partly because it's a stereotype, partly because it isn't. How do you have someone who's not just decorative, but a competent combatant? How might such a character be sexy and appealing and still be muscled, tough, armored, and potentially pretty vicious (well, for people who don't have a fetish about muscled women)? Plus, my experience has been that a lot of women tend to play fighter types - so that's kind of the combination I figure a female player will bring to the table. I don't think I'm that good at getting that right, but it's all interesting, y'know?
